Like beef, lamb is great source of iron, zinc and B vitamins. It also contains a high amount of omega 3 fats and conjugated linoleic acid which helps to improve lean muscle mass. Lastly, it contains several antioxidant amino acids including taurine and glutathione . It’s a great alternative for cats that may have sensitivities to beef. Since it contains many of the same nutrients that beef does but with a slightly higher fat content, lamb is a great option for cats that need to gain some weight.
Great option in the winter due to its warming properties, but should be limited in the summer months when external temperatures are on the rise.
Be careful with lamb if your pet has any history of pancreatic disease, due to its high fat content.
Veggies that are red, yellow, or green are a great source of antioxidants and phytonutrients for your pet. Ours are blended for maximum absorption.
